NSN 2015 Conference Dates Set

It seems like it was just yesterday that Phoenix hosted the 2014 NSN Conference! Next year's NSN Conference dates are set! July 30 through August 2, 2015 are the dates for the tribe to gather in our NEW home in Kansas City MO. Exploring the PATHWAYS where storytelling can take us!

FOR NSN MEMBERS ONLY (That means you need to JOIN NOW)
Back by popular demand is our PRE-early-bird offer to register for the full conference at the lowest possible price through January 12, 2015 (does not include lodging, meals, pre-conferences, master classes, final Sunday concert, additional special events TBA later).  Conference registration for non-NSN members will not open until 2015 and at a $100 higher rate. 

Perhaps most important is by registering now, you have the opportunity to stretch your payment over 6 months. AZ Rep - Valley Leadership Turning Points
Monday October 20th

Join The Republic for a night of true stories, told live, to celebrate taking on big challenges, sticking it to the man and tackling turning points.

The Arizona Storytellers Project partners with Valley Leadership at the Farm at South Mountain, under the stars and twinkling lights of the new Stone Grove event space. Civic leaders who've faced miniscule budgets, crazy push-back, political opposition and other gobsmacking hurdles on their paths to making the Valley more awesome will share stories.
 
The night's speakers are Urias Communications' managing partner Jennifer Sanchez, One Community's president Angela Hughey, Rural/Metro counsel and Arizona State University professor Jenny Holsman Tetreault, Intel's director of veterans recruiting Robert Polston, Republic business editor Kathy Tulumello and ASU Cronkite News' content director Heather Dunn.

West Side Story Tellers - An Evening of Story & Song

Lit Lounge has been named “Best Spoken Word Series” by the Phoenix New Times and “Best Literary Event” by The Arizona Republic!

The event is SMoCA’s award-winning, highly-charged story-performing series where engaging writers/performers share true stories fused together with live music!
 
This event will feature another dynamic roster of special guests including the Producer of the famed Sit 'N Spin at the Comedy Central Stage and guest star on Arrested Development, Maggie Rowe! Stay tuned as we reveal more of the evening's performers. For now, get your tickets because they always sell out fast!

Women Storytellers
Saturday - October 25th - 10am-Noon
Anne McDowell has organized another event: Out of the Box Storytelling - Women Storytellers. A place for Christian women to get together to hear and tell of the wonders that God has done in their lives or (with permission) in the lives of others.  This is a fun, exciting new way to hear six 8-10 minute personal, uplifting, faith-promoting stories about the wonders of God, and enjoy a delicious brunch! They offer fun, laughter, and a chance to win door prizes!

It's at Dobson’s Restaurant at Dobson Ranch Golf Course in Mesa from 10am - 12 Noon.

S'more Stories Returns - October 31st
Join us for the second triennial S'more Stories on Halloween night, October 31st. You bring a chair, we'll provide the campfire, the stories and the fixin's for S'mores!

Set in the back yard of storyteller Sally Borg, conveniently located near 56th street and Thomas, right on the edge of Phoenix and Scottsdale.

We'll have contests for the best Kid's costume and the best Adult costume, so dress up and show us your best!
